Frequently Asked Questions
-
How far in advance should I book?
It's never too early to book! It is best to book as soon as possible as my calendar fills quickly and I only take a limited amount of newborns per month. I usually recommend before the third trimester so we can plan your session and I can have all appropriate props and colors ready for you.
-
What if my baby comes early or after my due date? How do I know what date to book?
By booking your session with me, (paying the session fee) your new baby has priority on my schedule. Whether your baby comes early or late, your baby is guaranteed a spot on my calendar. My newborn sessions are limited per month to accommodate the various arrival dates.
-
My baby is already here! Can I still do a newborn session?
If you’ve already delivered your baby, you can still contact me and see if I have any availability as some babies come before or after their expected date creating a last minute availability.
-
What is the best age to photograph my new baby?
I prefer to photograph newborns between the first 5-21 days when they are still in that super sleepy, squishy, curly stage. I prefer to photograph babies in their first two weeks of life. They sleep better, don’t have reflux or colic, and usually haven’t developed baby acne or cradle cap. This is not to say we can't photograph your baby a bit older, but the ultimate time is during the first week or two.

Do you have a studio?
Yes! I have a beautiful home studio located in Pleasant Grove, Utah, just 40 minutes south of Salt Lake City. Everything is fully prepared prior to your arrival (multiple sets will be in place). You can relax and enjoy some much-needed rest while I photograph your baby, just feet away.
-
Do you have all the props?
Yes! My studio has a large collection of high end, handmade headbands, bonnets, outfits, rompers and wraps to name a few. Your baby's session will be fully styled based on your color preferences. I will take care of all of the styling and photo sets, all you have to do is bring me the baby!
-
How do I prepare for my newborn session?
Once you're booked and on my schedule you'll get a link emailed to you that will give you tips and information on how to prepare for a smooth newborn session.
-
Are you up to date on the Whooping Cough Vaccine?
Yes! Myself and my staff are all up to date on TDap and Flu.
-
What forms of payment do you take?
I accept cash, check, or credit card.
-
Is there a referral program?
Yes, you will receive a $10 credit towards your next session for each person you refer that books a session and mentions your name.
